Hey, everyone. Let's take a look at this question together in an extreme stress scenario, which of the following organs will be inhibited by the sympathetic nervous system. Is it answer choice? A adrenal glands, answer choice B, pancreas, answer choice C bronchus or answer choice D the penis. Let's work this problem out together to try to figure out which of the following answer. Choices is the organ that will be inhibited by the sympathetic nervous system in an extreme stress scenario. So in order to solve this question, we have to recall what we have learned about the sympathetic nervous system during an extreme stress scenario to determine which of the following organs will be inhibited. And we can recall that the sympathetic nervous system in that extreme stress scenario would activate the fight or flight response. And as a result of the activation of the fight or flight response, there is an inhibition of the rest and digest processes that are related to the parasympathetic nervous system. And so all organs involved in rest and digest would be inhibited. So looking at our answer choices, we can identify, I answer choice B the pancreas as the correct answer. As the sympathetic nervous system would inhibit digestion and its associated organs which would result in the inhibition of the pancreas, which its answer choice be and all other answer choices are incorrect. I hope you found this video to be helpful. Thank you and goodbye.
