Welcome back. Everyone. Our problem says, identify which of the following is not a function of epithelial tissue. A filtration B protection, C secretion or D locomotion. Well, as you recall, epithelial tissue is extremely abundant all over the body lining, all the cavities, all the tracks of the body. So it does lots of things. But when we look at our answer, choices, hopefully, what sticks out to us is choice D locomotion and that would be muscle tissue, not epithelial tissue involved in that. Um When we look at our other answer, choices, epithelial tissue is involved in filtration, think of those cells in the kidney that help filter out solutes. So choice a not correct choice B protection. Think of our skin protecting uh being forming a barrier on the outside of the body. So definitely a function of the epithelial tissue. And finally choice C secretion. Um Our glands do secrete products from epithelial tissue. So, secretion also a function of epithelial tissue. So the one that is not the function of epithelial tissues. Choice D locomotion. See you in the next video.
