Everyone. Let's take a look at this question together, Mr Lopez experienced significant blood loss following an accident. Considering his blood type is B negative, which blood type is compatible for him to receive? Is it answer choice? A type O negative answer choice B type A positive answer. Choice C type B positive answer choice D type O positive or answer choice E type A B negative. Let's work this problem out together to try to figure out which of the following answer choices is the type of blood that is compatible for Mr Lopez to receive. So in order to solve this question, we have to recall what we have learned about what blood types are compatible with blood type be negative. And we know that blood type B negative can receive blood from donors with the same A bo blood type. In this case, it is blood type B and the same Rh factor which in this case, the Rh factor is negative. And since we have a negative Rh factor, we can identify answer choice BC and D are all incorrect. Since answer choices BC and D all contain a positive Rh factor. So they are all incorrect. And lastly answer choice E which is type A B negative, even though it has the same Rh factor as Mr Lopez is not compatible with blood type A B as type A B negative is a different blood type. So answer choice E is also incorrect leaving us with only one remaining answer choice which is answer choice A type O negative since type O negative has the same A bo blood type has a compatible blood type with Mr Lopez and the same Rh factor. So answer choice A is the only correct answer choice. I hope you found this video to be helpful. Thank you and goodbye.
