Remember the patella tendon connects the knee cap to the shin bone. This is not the cartilage. So we can eliminate option D. Now option A AC L stands for anterior cruciate ligament. And then option B MC L stands for the medial collateral ligament. So both A and B are ligaments. Remember that ligaments are fibrous connective tissue that connects two bones. So while both AC L and MC L are ligaments of the knee, they are not cartilage. So we can eliminate options A and B as well. So the correct answer is a meniscus tear. The meniscus is the cartilage.
