Hi everyone. Welcome back. Let's look at our next question. It says in humans, the blank of chromosomes is slash are known as the sex pair or pairs. Whereas the blank is or are known as the autism a pair or pairs. Well, we recall that humans have 46 chromosomes or 23 pairs of chromosomes in each cell. And there's the single pair of sex chromosomes and they're usually counted as the last pair. And of course these are the ones that are different between males and females. With females having a matched pair of two X chromosomes and males having an unmatched pair of one X and one Y chromosome. The other 22 pairs are known as the autism's that are identical between males and females. So that leads us to choice A. In humans, the 23rd pair of chromosomes are known as the sex pair, whereas the 1st 22 pairs are known as the autism all pairs. So we can see why are other chances. Answa choices are incorrect. Choice B says first pair and last 22 pairs. But we usually consider the sex chromosomes as the 23rd or last pair. So that's why choice B is incorrect. Choice c. says 1st 10 pairs last 10 pairs, but that makes only 20 pairs and humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes. So that's not correct. And Choice D. Says 1st 22 pairs 23rd pair, but there's only one pair of sex chromosomes and 22 autism's so Choice D. Has them reversed. So again, our answer here is choice A 23rd pair are the sex chromosomes. The 1st 22 pairs are the autism's. See you in the next video.
