Hello everyone today we are being asked to identify the organic product of the addition reaction below. In addition reactions, it involves an alkaline or a double bond being transformed into an al cane or a single bond where two groups, they can be the same or different are added across that double bond. And so this is an example of hydro generation or adding hydrogen and bromine across this double bond. And so this is going to add in what's known as Markov nick off fashion, meaning the X or the halogen goes to the more substituted carbon. And so the first thing you do is you want to draw this structure as it was. But instead of that double bond, we're going to replace it with two components. So we must ask ourselves, where is the browning going to go? The brahman is going to go on the more substituted carbon, which is going to be this attached to the red line here and the hydrogen though it is not shown, will be added onto where this carbon is here and so where you see that too is where I drew an additional hydrogen because on the left we had one but we added that hydrogen across the double bond on that side. And so this would therefore be our final answer. I hope this helped. And until next time
