Video transcript

Hello, everyone. Today, we have the following problem illustrate the complete synthesis by determining the plausible product of a given hydrogenation reaction. So here we have an alkene reacting with molecular hydrogen and a catalyst known as Lindler catalyst. And in this reaction, we essentially have this hydrogen molecular hydrogen adding across the alkene in sin fashion, using a metal catalyst such as palladium bound to carbon. And essentially what occurs is we have the syn addition of molecular hydrogen across the double blind such that we reduce that alkane into the following alkane. And so with that, we have solved the problem overall, I hope this helped. And until next time.
