Hi everyone here we have a question asking which of the following is the correct name for the al keen. So because it is now keen, we know that it is going to end in in now. We want to number the longest carbon chain. So we have 12345678, so eight is octo. So so far we have the base name octane. Next we want to Neymar substitue ints. So we have A double bond at C and we have a methyl group at C three and C six. And we have an ethyl group which means two carbons at C4. And we are going to put these in alphabetical order. So our ethyl is going to come first, so it will be for ethel and then we have two meth ALs and because we have to it's going to be dimethyl and they're at carbon three and carbon six. So 36 dime ethel and our double bond is at carbon four, So that will be four. Opting So our correct answer is C4, Ethyl 3, 6, Dimethyl four octane. Thank you for watching. Bye.
