Hello everyone. Today, we have the following problem. The structure of the meta dimethyl benzene, a dye substituted benzene. So recall that dye substituted benzene have two substituents attached to a benzene ring, which could be named using the position prefix. So we have the benzene as the blue print molecule. The draw and we have the substituents of two methyl groups, hence the dimethyl and they are in meta position. And this means that there is one carbon separating the two groups. So if you were to number these carpets of the bending ring in the following manner, going clockwise meta, another way to signify, this is to write 13, followed by the name. So we simply would just draw one methyl on carbon one and another methyl on carbon three. And this would be the answer to this problem. Overall, I hope is helped. And until next time.
