So heritable would be mean able to be inherited and something is able to be inherited if it is passed or transmitted through jeans from parent to offspring. So let's look at our answer choices. Choice A says transmissible. So that is our correct answer. Because characteristic is heritable. If it is transmissible from parents to offspring. So highlight that. But to be thorough we'll just look throughout other choices. Choice B. Says compatible. Well it doesn't matter what kind of trade it is or anything about it so compatible. Not quite sure what the meaning of that would be here. But any sort of descriptor of the trade doesn't matter. It only has to be transmissible able to be passed no matter what kind of trade it is. So choice be not a good description of what heritable means. Choice C. Says helpful. Well it doesn't have to be helpful characteristic. You could inherit a genetic disease from your parents. So that does not describe heritable. So Choice C. Not the correct answer. And choice D. Common doesn't matter how common it is. One could inherit a very rare trait.
