Hey, everyone. Let's take a look at this question. Together, diet has a limited direct impact on blood ph because the blood is tightly regulated, which of the following does not play a crucial role in regulating the Ph of body fluids. Is it answer choice. A, a buffer system? Answer choice B, the nervous system, answer choice C the kidneys or answer choice D the respiratory system. Let's work this problem out together to try to figure out which of the following answer choices is not related to the regulation of the Ph of the body fluids. So in order to solve this question, we have to recall the different functions of the following answer choices to determine which of the following does not play a crucial role in regulating the Ph of body fluids. And from our answer choices, we can see that answer choice A which says a buffer system, we know that a buffer system consists of weak acids and their corresponding conjugate bases which can absorb or release those hydrogen ions or protons to help regulate Ph. So answer choice A is incorrect. Next, we have answer choice B which is the nervous system which we know that the main function of the nervous system is for controlling various bodily functions, which includes muscle movements and responses to stimuli and is not directly involved in maintaining the body's ph. So answer choice B is the correct answers. The nervous system does not play a crucial role in regulating the ph of body fluids. And answer choice A is incorrect as well as answer choice. C kidneys which are responsible for excreting acids and bases in the urine which regulates the Ph. And lastly answer choice D the respiratory system which is responsible for adjusting the combination of carbon dioxide where more carbon dioxide that is released results in a lower ph. So answer choices. AC and D are all responsible for regulating the PH of body fluids. And answer choice. B the nervous system is not. So it is the correct answer. I hope you found this video to be helpful. Thank you and goodbye.
