So, in order to solve this question, we have to recall what we have learned about parathyroid hormone and when it acts on the bones, kidneys and intestines, and we can recall that parathyroid hormone or PTH is released in response to low blood calcium levels and it acts on the bones kidneys and intestines. In order to increase those blood calcium levels. And some effects of parathyroid hormone include promoting the release of calcium from bones such as bone resorption, enhancing the reabsorption of calcium in the kidneys and stimulating the production of active vitamin D which increases calcium absorption from the intestines. So we know that parathyroid hormone acts on the bones or bone resorption, enhances the reabsorption of calcium in the kidney and stimulates the production of active vitamin D which increases calcium absorption from the intestines in response to low blood calcium levels.
