Hey, everyone. Let's take a look at this question together. The following are the hormones produced in the adrenal glands, except which is it? Answer choice. A cortisol, answer choice. B adrenaline, answer choice C Oxytocin or answer choice. D aldosterone. Let's work this problem out together to try to figure out which of the following answer. Choices is a hormone that is not produced in the adrenal glands. So in order to solve this question, we have to recall what we have learned about the adrenal glands and what hormones are produced in the adrenal glands to determine which of the following is not produced there. And we can recall some important hormones that are produced in the adrenal glands include aldosterone, cortisol, androgens, and estrogens and epinephrine. And the adrenal gland hormones play important roles in various physiological processes such as stress response, abol, and electrolyte balance. So looking at our answer choices, we can identify answer choice A is incorrect. Since cortisol is a hormone produced in the adrenal glands as well as adrenaline, which is epinephrine. And lastly answer choice D is incorrect. Since aldosterone is also a hormone produced in the adrenal glands leaving us with only one remaining answer choice, which is answer choice C oxytocin. Since the hormone known as oxytocin is not produced in the adrenal glands and instead is produced by the hypothalamus. So answer choice C is the correct answer. I hope you found this video to be helpful. Thank you and goodbye.
