Video transcript

Everyone in this trouble, we have a bucket filled with water pulled upward using a massless rope. We asked to draw a suitable interaction diagram when the velocity of the bucket is increasing in the upward direction. All right. So we're showing a diagram here and we have our bucket attached to our massless rope and that is moving upwards. Now, we want to draw an interaction diagram and we wanna think about all of the objects in our situation. So the first thing we have is our bucket. OK? So we're gonna draw that as a circle. We're gonna label it with A B to indicate the bucket. And those are the two things that are gonna make up our system. OK? The bucket and the, so we're gonna draw a dashed box all the way around these two to indicate that this is our system. We have to consider one more thing as well. And we have another object that interacts with the bucket and the rope and that is gonna be the entire earth. And so we have the entire earth, we'll label it as ee that also acts and interacts with our bucket. And our now between the bucket and the entire earth, we're gonna have gravity active. Ok? So we're gonna draw the line connecting the bucket and the entire earth. We're gonna write gravity here and we're gonna have the acceleration due to gravity acting on that. Now, between the bucket and the rope, well, if we're pulling the bucket upwards, using this rope, then there's gonna be some tension force there. Ok? So between the rope in the bucket, we are gonna have tension. So we are gonna draw another line and we're gonna label it tension and let me just rewrite that label so that we can read it. There we go. So we have tension between the bucket and the and there are no other other forces that we need to include or no other interactions that we need to include in our interaction diagram. OK? Notice that this bucket is not in contact with the surface, it's in the air being raised by this rope, which is why we don't have any normal force acting. OK? So this is it for our interaction diagram. Thanks everyone for watching. I hope this video helped you in the next one.
