All right. Hi, everyone. So this question says to identify whether the following statement is true or false. Carbon is the most abundant element in the earth's crust among group four A elements, option A says true. Option B says false. So recall that the elements of group four A are composed of carbon. You're like home Germania tin and lead. Now it would be very easy to mark true as the correct answer in this case, because carbon is something that is very abundant in nature, right? It's present in all organic molecules and is one of the most abundant elements in the universe as a whole. However, we have to consider the composition of the earth's crust specifically just because carbon is abundant in nature in general, doesn't mean the same is true for the earth's crust specifically. Matter of fact, right? Recall it in the earth's crust. Specifically, silicone is the most abundant of all the elements in group 48 because silicon happens to be the second most common element in the earth's crust as a whole. The first of which being oxygen specifically, silicone accounts for about 28% of the earth's crust in general. And what's interesting is that carbon Germanium tin and lead each account for less than 1% of the earth's crust as a whole. So all this is to say that carbon is not actually the most abundant element in the earth's crust. Among those in group four A, that title goes to silico, which means that our answer here is going to be option B which is false. So with that being said, thank you very much for watching and I hope you found this helpful.
