Hey there. Welcome back. Alright, so the distillation of a green liquid resulted in a yellow liquid and blue salad. The green liquid is most likely a what? Alright, so first of all, what is this insulation insulation is going to be a process of separating. Right? So it's separation, it's a physical separation of the different components or substances of a liquid mixture of the liquid mixture. So we started with the green liquid and then after distillation, after we have separated the different components, we end up with yellow liquid and blue solid. Right? So what is this green liquid that we started with obviously cannot be an element, right? Because an element cannot be broken down chemically um into anything else. It's the simplest type of matter. Right? So there's nothing to separate. It's just one element, a pure substance. So if it was a pure substance, then this elation, which is just a physical separation of components, would not have broken down the substance into anything else. Right? We can chemically break this down into its elements, but that's not what we're doing here. We're doing this isolation. So that is this green liquid is not a pure substance. A compound. So basically the same thing, If it was a compound, let's say H 20. We cannot just still, you know, the different elements out of it. It's still going to be water. So it's not a compound. A solution. A solution is actually a type of a mixture. It's a homogeneous mixture and what it looks like. We started with this green liquid which was it was a mixture was a solution. And then after this elation, um you know, we were able to separate the different components of this mixture, right? So solution is just a mixture. So and obviously it's not a because we we did find out that this is most likely a solution that there's green liquid. We started with a solution and then distilled it into its separate components. Thanks so much for watching.
