Video transcript

Hi everyone here, we have a question asking us to determine the type of molecular orbital present in the given contour representation of the molecular orbital. So let's look at the difference of what a sigma type and a pI type is. So a sigma molecular orbital is symmetric about the inter nuclear access access. A pie is not, and what we're looking at is not symmetrical to p atomic orbital can produce both sigma and pi molecular orbital's. But what we're looking at again is a symmetrical and it is side to side overlap. So that means it is a pie type. Thank you for watching. Bye.
