Hello everyone today. We are being given the following problem, choose from the following statements which correctly described the inter molecular attractive force type. London dispersion forces. So here we have a five statements and we have to determine which ones are true and which ones are false. So I'm gonna start by grouping one and three first since they both deal with these forces existing somewhere. So one says these are attractive forces existing even in electrically neutral substances. And this is true. If you look at three says these are the attractive forces that exist in non polar gasses and this is also true London dispersion forces. There are interactions that exist even in electrically neutral and non polar atoms and molecules. So we're gonna go ahead and mark one and three as being part of the answer and then we're gonna group two and 42 and four, two sides. These are inter molecular attractive forces operating in all molecules. This is very true. All molecules have these instantaneous dipole moments and that's due to the motion of the electrons. So electrons are kind of moving around in a molecule. And due to that, that creates what is known as a dipole moment. And so if you have this dipole moment where one part of the molecule is more electro negative than the other. If you put two molecules in close proximity, this can induce an instantaneous dipole in another atom which is going to result in this sort of attractive force which is a dipole moment. So we're gonna go ahead and say that too is correct. And then force says these forces apply only to non polar atoms and molecules. And this is true. This only occurs in non polar atoms or molecules. Polar molecules and Covalin molecules all have their own separate thing. five says instantaneous dipole moment due to the motion of electrons in a molecule or out of Actually that was Andrew Choice five. That was the correct one. So four was not group with two, but rather with five. So five says instantaneous dipole moments exist due to the motion of electrons in a molecule atom. So that means all of these are correct except for answer choice four. These don't only apply to non polar atoms. They exist in every single type of molecule there is with that being said, that gives us the correct answer of being D 123 and five are all correct. And with that we've answered the question overall. I hope this helped, and until next time.
