Hey everyone we're shown the acquis solutions of the solid sodium X, sodium Y. And sodium Z. And were asked to identify the an ion with the weakest conjugate acid. Now to answer this question, let's go ahead and first look at sodium X. Looking at sodium X. We can see that we have three of our acid and that will be 12 and three. Now let's go ahead and look at our an ion counting this out. We have 1234 and five of our an Aon. Now let's go ahead and look at sodium Y. For sodium Y. We see that we have four of our acid and we have four of our an A on next looking at sodium Z. We have two of our acid and we have six of our an alien. Now let's go ahead and use this information to determine the an ion with the weakest conjugate acid first, let's look at increasing base strength. Now when we look at our base strength we're going to look at the amount of acid produced in each of these solutions. Now comparing these our sodium Z. Form the least amount of acid since this forms only two of our acid. Next it will be followed by our an ion X. And lastly the one with the highest base strength is going to be our an ion Y. Since it forms the most acid. Now let's go ahead and look at increasing acid strength. Now when we look at increasing acid strength, we're going to look at our an ions. So the one with the least amount of an ion present is going to be our acid. Why followed by our acid X. And lastly followed by our acids E, since we have the most amount of an ions present here in acid C. So to answer this question, any why has the an EON with the weakest conjugate acid? Now, I hope that made sense and let us know if you have any questions.
