Video transcript

Hello everyone. And in today's video we have the following problem which of the following best describes our biological race. And looking at our answer choices. You can see that all of them have the taxonomic hierarchy as a premise. So we're going to be focusing on these concepts as we solve this problem. So I want you to recall from previous videos the order of this taxonomic hierarchy and its laid out by the following. So the highest level or just the highest taxonomic classification is going to be domain. Then we have kingdom phylum, class, order, family, genus and finally, species being the lowest level of classification. Now, let us look at our answer choices knowing this so we can solve the problem starting with answer to receipt. It is the highest level of classification and this is talking about the biological race. Looking at this taxonomic hierarchy that we have here, the highest level of classification is going to be domain. So this answer choices actually incorrect and we're going to cancel it out. Moving on, we have B. It is A level above the species level. Well, here we have the species level and the level above it is going to be a genius. So it's not going to be the biological race. And we're going to cancel this that as well. This all leaves us with answer choice. A An informal group in the taxonomic hierarchy. This is actually going to be a correct answer because these biological races are a subgroup within the species. And since there are sub group within the species are going to be this informal group in the taxonomic hierarchy, they're not present directly in it as we see here. So we're going to highlight this answer choice a as being the correct answer to our question. This is going to be the end of the video. I really hope this helps you.
