An example is the gluteus, maximus, maximus means largest. So this is a muscle that is named based on its size. Option B, it can also be eliminated. The abductors, longest brevis gracias and magnus are muscles that are hip abductors. So the four abductor muscles abduct the leg. So they are named based on their function. Option D is also a true statement and can be eliminated. Think of the muscle, temporalis. This muscle is located in the temporal region of the skull.
