<v ->Welcome to lesson seven,</v> Introduction to Web Development in Python. In this lesson, you use Python to create a simple web app using the Flask web framework. First, we look at the anatomy of web apps, since creating content for the web is more complicated and has more components than anything we've seen so far. If you already know how websites and web apps are built, you can skip this sub lesson. Next, we create a virtual environment and start our Flask app. Then you learn the basics of HTML and CSS, since they are required for creating the user interfaces of all websites. Then we edit the code a bit, so that our app is passing data to the user interface. Finally, we look at JavaScript and JQuery, and hook the last piece of code up to create a simple click counter website. Afterwards, we discuss the next steps for your app, including hooking up a database and deploying it so that it's on the internet and can be seen by the world.
