Video transcript

Hi everyone here we have a question asking us what is the structure of the following al cane? So because it's an al caine, we know it has only single bonds and its octane. So we know we have eight carbons as our parent chain. So let's start off with that. So we have one two three four seven eight. And let's just number those real quick. And now we need to add our substitute parents. So we have five ethyl, which means two carbons at carbon five and then we have 336 tri methyl. So methyl means one carbon. So we're going to have two of those at carbon three And one at Carbon six. And now we can just fill in our hydrogen to complete our octet. And that is our final answer. Thank you for watching. Bye.
