Video transcript

Hello everyone today. We are being asked to find which of the statements are true regarding the concentration cell shown below. So we see that we are using a volt meter here. So we know that we are dealing with an electrochemical cell. So we have an electro chemical. So and an important thing to note in electrochemical cells is that oxidation or oxy occurs at the anodes and reduction or red occurs at the cathode. So this means that for oxidation electrons are generated here and they typically flow to towards the direction of the cathode. So the electrons are flowing from the anodes to the cathode. The nickel too, ions in the cathode will react so the nickel two ions will react to form solid nickel metal and this will in turn decrease the concentration of Nickel two plus in the cathode. With that in mind. Answing Choices one and three are correct For answer choice three. The electron flow will stop when the concentration on both sides are equal. This is simply known as equilibrium. And with that we have our final answer. I hope this helped. And until next time.
