Hello everyone today. We've been given the falling problem. Sean below is a gas sample contained in a cylinder with a movable piston. The temperature is decreased from 400° Kelvin to 200° Kelvin at constant pressure, which of the following images illustrate the gas sample after. So we have a B and C. Here. The first thing that we want to note and recall is Charles law. In Charles law essentially says that the volume is directly proportional to the temperature. And so essentially what that means is an increase in volume will equal an increase in temperature and a decrease in volume will equal a decrease in temperature. So according to the problem here we had our temperature decrease From Kelvin to 200 Kelvin. So we can there therefore expect a decrease in our volume. So the volume will be smaller and this is highlighted best in answer choice B. We see that the amount of gas molecules or particles is occupying a less space or less space than that of our initial gas sample.
