Welcome back Everyone use the following data to identify which is the stronger reducing agent in each pair versus our Arson eight an ion and our phosphate an ion. So we have Arson eight reacting with two moles of water and we don't need to highlight this. So Arson it reacting with two moles of water and two electrons to produce oxO arson eight and four moles of hydroxide with the reduction potential charge of negative 0. volts. Then we have our phosphate an ion reacting with two moles of water with two electrons to produce our hydrogen phosphate, an ion and three moles of hydroxide with the reduction potential of negative one point oh five volts. And we can see that this reduction potential is more negative. We want to recall that when we have a lower reduction potential charge, this will correspond to a substance that is easily oxidized, which therefore corresponds to be a stronger reducing agent. So what this means is that because we see that the reduction potential of our oxidation of our phosphate an ion is more negative as we listed here. This means that our phosphate an ion is going to be the stronger reducing agent. And so this would be our final answer. To complete this example. I hope everything I explained was clear. If you have any questions, please leave them down below and I will see everyone in the next practice video
