Hey, everyone were asked based on the phase diagram of carbon dioxide below determine which of the points A. B. C, or D. Of carbon dioxide exhibits the least ideal behavior. First, let's go ahead and define how the gas phase of a substance will exhibit ideal behavior. So the gas phase of a substance will exhibit ideal behavior at high temperatures and low pressures. So, since our question wants us to determine which will exhibit the least ideal behavior, we need to look for the point that exhibits low temperature and high pressure. Also, as we've learned, as pressure and temperature get closer to the phase transition point, the behavior of the gas becomes less ideal. So looking at our choices, it looks like Point C, which is right here is the least ideal, since it has a low temperature and a high pressure. Also, we can see that it is pretty close to the phase transition of a gas into a liquid, which is seen right here. So it looks like our final answer is going to be point C.
