Welcome back. Here's our next question which of the following statements about the menstrual cycle is false. So let's look at our choices, remembering we're looking for a false or incorrect answer. Choice A says menopause is when the menstrual cycle of the woman ceases well, this is true. We have a good hint in that word menopause. And since this is a true statement, that can't be our answer, Choice B says during the loo deal phase, the follicle transforms into the corpus ludie. Um This is also true. Again, we have a good hint because it's called blue teal phase and we're talking about a corpus ludie. Um After release of the egg, the follicle left behind in the ovary transforms into the corpus ludie um in the yellow body that releases the hormone progesterone which is going to begin making the uterus a healthy environment if a pregnancy is established. So that's a true statement and can't be our answer. Troisi says ovulation is when the album is released into the fallopian tube. That's another true answer. Ovulation does refer to the release of the egg. So Choice C. Cannot be our answer. Finally, we're onto Choice B. And Choice D. Says the ovarian cycle refers to the cyclic growth and shedding of the endometrial lining. While this is false, the cyclic growth and shedding of the endometrial lining is the uterine cycle. Not the ovarian cycle. The ovarian cycle will be referring to the ripening of the follicle and then the release of the egg. So this is a false statement. And therefore that's our correct answer. Since our question was asking for which statement about menstrual cycle is false? Choice D. The ovarian cycle refers to the cyclic growth and shedding of the endometrial lining is our correct answer, um, as it's a false statement, see you in the next video.
