Hi, everybody. Let's look at our next question. It says which heart valve has two cusps anchored to the papillary muscles by the corde. 10 choice A right atrioventricular or a V valve. B, left atrioventricular or a V valve, C pulmonary semi lunar valve or D aortic semi lunar valve. Well, if you remember the details of these different vowels, you can actually pick out the right answer right away because only one of these vowels has two cusps, all of the others have three. So the valve here with the two cusps and our correct answer is choice B the left atrioventricular valve. It is also known as the bicuspid valve. And that name by CSPI tells us we only have two cusps, uh also known as the mitr valve and is between the left atrium and ventricle as the name given to us. In our answer, choices, tells us the right atrioventricular valve that we have in choice. A is also known as the Tricuspid valve because it has three cusps. Those cusps are the flaps that close the valve. And as we can see from its name, it is between the right atrium and ventricle. So it's the corresponding structure to the left ay valve, but it has three cusps rather than two. In choices C and D are pulmonary semi lunar valve and aortic semi lunar valve are both uh the, both of them have the purpose of preventing back flow as blood comes goes out of the heart. The pulmonary semi lunar valve is between the right ventricle and the pulmon pulmonary artery. And as we mentioned, when we started to discuss this question, it has three valves, they're called semi lunar valves because they're sort of pocket or crescent shaped. And the aortic semi lunar valve has a similar structure with three crescent shaped valves, but it's on the other side between the left ventricle and the aorta. So again, each of those has those three semi lunar cusps. So not what we're looking for. They are not attached to the papillary muscles. So again, the heart valve that has just two cusps and is anchored to the papillary muscles by the corde 10 is choice B the left atrial ventricular valve. See you in the next video.
