Hi, everyone. Let's take a look at this practice problem together. What does the term triceps indicate in a muscle's name? The answer options are A that the muscle has three origins. B that the muscle is triangular in shape C that the muscle fibers run parallel to an imaginary line and D that the muscle brings about abduction of the thigh. Now recall that the prefix try means three, that gives a strong indication that the answer should be either option A or B as they're the only two answers that reference the number three. Now triceps are not muscle fibers that run parallel to an imaginary line. So option C, we can eliminate and they are not muscles found in the thigh. So we can eliminate. Option D as well. Remember the triceps are found on the backside of the arm. Now, on the screen, I am putting up an an image of the triceps muscle on the image is labeled the triceps, medial head, the lateral head and the long head. This means that the tricep muscle has three origins. So the correct answer is option A that the muscle has three origins. All right, everyone I hope you found this helpful and I'll see you soon for the next practice problem.
