Hi, everyone. Let's take a look at this practice problem together, the muscle that originates at the lateral border of the scapula and attaches to the greater tubercle of the humerus is known as the answer. Options are a Latissimus dorsi muscle. B, sternocleidomastoid c, Longissimus muscles and D Terry minor muscle. So, if this muscle spans from the scapula to the humerus, this is a muscle of the shoulder girdle. So which of our answer options is a shoulder girdle muscle. Let's go through them. Option. A latissimus dorsi recall that this muscle is a lower posterior trunk muscle. Now, it does attach to the humerus. However, its origin is broad and it includes the ribs, the upper part of the pelvis and the spinous processes of vertebrae. So option A is not correct. Option. B, sternal clad omaid. Remember that this name tells us its location. So the origin of this muscle is the sternum and clavicle. And thus we get sternal cleoid and the insertion is on the mastoid. So this is not a muscle of the shoulder girdle. And we can eliminate option B, option C, the Longissimus muscles recall that these are part of the rector spina muscle group. And remember this muscle, the rector spina are long vertical muscles that span both sides of the vertebral column. And so this is not a shoulder girdle muscle. And option C is incorrect. The correct answer is the Terry's minor muscle. So this is a rotator cuff muscle and this helps to provide stability to the shoulder girdle. So the correct answer is option D Terry's minor muscle. All right, everyone. I hope you found this helpful and I'll see you soon for the next practice problem.
