Hi everyone. Let's take a look at this practice problem together. This cell structure is found beneath the plasma membrane and forms a network that provides mechanical support, determines cell shape and allows movement of the cell surface thereby enabling cells to migrate engulf particles and divide the answer. Options are a myosin filaments. B act in filaments. C micro filaments and D. Both options B and C recall that the network in the cytoplasm of the cell that carries out many functions is called the cytoskeleton. And the cytoskeleton is composed of three elements. There's the microtubules, the intermediate filaments and the micro filaments. Microtubules help to determine the shape of the cell. Intermediate filaments provide structural support and micro filaments are involved in cell motility and producing cell shape. So which skeleton element provides mechanical support determines cell shape and allows movement of the cell surface that would be the micro filaments. Now recall that micro filaments are also known as acting filaments. So options B and C are describing the same thing. Therefore, the correct answer is going to be. Option D, both B and C. Now option A is incorrect. Recall that mycin filaments are important for muscle contraction, they are not part of the cytoskeleton. So, the correct answer is option D both B and C. All right. Everyone. I hope you found this helpful and I'll see you soon for the next practice problem.
