Hey, everyone in this example, we're told that a proposed voltaic cell is claimed to produce 50V in a single cell. Is this a reasonable proposal? And why or why not? So what we should recall is that at most a pair of half cell reactions generate 5 to volts. And so according to the prompt, we have 50 volts being produced in a single cell and we can agree that 50 volts is significantly greater than 5 to 6 volts. So we would say therefore this will not work for voltaic cells, Based on what we know, which they generate between 5-6V. So because 50V is way too high, that's kind of a far stretch. And so we would say no, this is not reasonable because 50 volts, it's too large of a voltage for voltaic cells. And so this would be our final answer here to complete this example.
