Video transcript

Hello everyone today. We have the following problem. What is the balanced equation for the change that takes place when a lithium ion battery is charged, the battery produces an E. M. F. Through this overall cell reaction listed below. So the cell reaction that we're actually given is the reaction when the battery is being discharged. So when the battery is charged and the battery is charged, this means that the reaction is reversed. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna rewrite this equation in the reverse direction. So we're going to write our carbon plus our lithium cold bolt and our oxygen species reacting to form our lithium carbon complex in our cobalt oxygen complex. And so this is going to be our reaction when this lithium iron battery is charged overall, I hope this helped and until next time.
