Step 1: Write the augmented matrix for the system of equations.
Step 2: Use Gaussian elimination to transform the matrix into row echelon form.
Step 3: Perform back-substitution to find the values of the variables.
Step 4: Alternatively, use Gauss-Jordan elimination to transform the matrix into reduced row echelon form.
Step 5: Read off the solutions for the variables from the reduced row echelon form matrix.
