Hey, everyone. Let's take a look at this question together the bone in the proximal row of the carpal bones that has a boat shape and is located at the base of the thumb side of the hand. It's called, what is it? Answer choice. A, the scaphoid answer choice B, the lunate answer, choice C, the capitate or answer choice D the trapezium. Let's work this problem out together to try to figure out which of the following answer choices refers to the bone in the proximal row of the carpal bones that has that boat shape located at the base of the thumb side of the hand. So in order to solve this question, we have to recall what bones are in the proximal row of the carpal bones. And we can recall that the proximal row of carpal bones includes the scaphoid, the lunate, the triquetrum and the Pisa form. So looking at our answer choices, we can see that answer choice, C decapitate and answer choice. D the trapezium are both in correct since they are not included in the proximal row of carpal bones and instead are found in the distal row. So they are incorrect. Leaving us with answer choice A and B which are both bones found in the proximal row of the carpal bones. However, we are looking for the bone that has that boat shape and is located at the base of the thumb side of the hand. And we can call that answer choice B, the lunate has a crescent shape. So answer choice B is incorrect. Leaving us with answer choice A, the scaphoid as the correct answer since the scaphoid has that boat shape and is located at the base of the thumb side of the hand. So answer choice. A scaphoid is the correct answer. And all other answer choices are incorrect. I hope you found this video to be helpful. Thank you and goodbye.
