Dr. Eva Dziadula, University of Notre Dame
Eva Dziadula is an associate professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame. She was a recipient of the 2020 Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C. Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, which honors faculty members who have had a profound influence on the undergraduate learning experience, elevated students’ intellectual engagement, and fostered students’ ability to express themselves effectively within a disciplinary context.
Dziadula studies migration choices and immigrant assimilation, focusing on how people acquire citizenship and immigrant marriages. In the realm of development economics, she’s part of a research team studying the impact of programs in Nepal aimed at reducing child labor. Dziadula also works in behavioral economics applied to pedagogy in higher education, evaluating the role of commitment devices and social accountability in students’ academic success.
