It’s not always easy to teach sociology in the 21st century. Empirical facts and sound academic research are often challenged by government leaders and media outlets. As students learn to use a sociological lens to critically understand social issues, it can be difficult to help them see that their voices matter in everything from how they shape their own lives to their views on public issues. This webinar proposes strategies to help students become sociological thinkers and agents of change, finding their voices to engage with the social and political world more effectively and confidently.
