Pearson TQ hosts Captain Sir Tom Moore’s family
On Wednesday 7 July 2021 Pearson TQ supported the college hosting the family of Captain Sir Tom Moore.
Sir Tom is Honorary Colonel of the Army Foundation College; the college created the ‘Captain Sir Tom Moore Walk’. This is the path Junior Soldiers will tread as they graduate from the Army Foundation College.
Sir Tom’s daughter, Hannah, chatted at length about her father’s legacy after he passed and how proud he was to be a part of the college.
Hannah also noted how ‘Education’ played a large role in Sir Tom’s life and how it influenced his daughter and especially his grandchildren.
Hannah also exclaimed at the transformational success of the Junior Soldiers in the Education Wing. It was a rewarding and reassuring feeling to hear how evident it is to all visitors of the college how successful our young people are in achieving their educational goals to allow them to be in a position to not only succeed in the apprenticeships with Pearson but also to succeed in their careers, through promotion.
Captain Sir Tom Moore’s and his family have built a legacy with the Army Foundation College that will endure for many years to come.
Captain Sir Tom Moore raised over £39 million for the NHS and inspired a nation to stand together and stand strong against a worldwide pandemic that has devastated so many parts of the world.
For the Education Managers at Pearson TQ to host and chat to his family was a real honour and privilege as we witnessed The Captain Sir Tom Moore Legacy live on through his family.
