Street Works

We deliver NRSWA training courses all over the UK, on-site at a client's premises or at our specialist construction academy, located in Swanley, Kent.

The Street Works Qualifications Register (SWQR) is authorised by UK Government Transport Departments. Under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), candidates with a certificate from an Awarding Organisation can be issued with an SWQR card.

As a registered Awarding Organisation, we offer a variety of Street Works training courses, with classroom capabilities for over 40 learners at one time, 20,000m² of training space and an experienced team of fully approved instructors.

We currently offer the NRSWA Operative course (units 1-6 + 9) and NRSWA Supervisor course (units 1, 10, 14 + 16), along with both the NRSWA Operative and NRSWA Supervisor Refresher courses.

This five-day course teaches the skills needed to carry out work to the standards of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 - the legal framework for street works.

It is designed for new roads and street work operatives who locate underground apparatus, set up equipment for works in the highway and carry out excavation, backfill and reinstatement.

Individuals carrying out work on public highways must be reassessed every 5 years. Successful completion of this Refresher course will enable you to re-register on the Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR).
