Manual Handling

Overview

This course is for any person who is involved in manual handling in the workplace. Participants will learn how to improve manual handling techniques, move and handle loads safely and be able to conduct a personal manual handling risk assessment.

  • Causes of back pain 
  • Returning back to work 
  • Moving and handling assessments 
  • Manual Handling legislation 
  • Principles of safer moving and handling 
  • Unsafe systems of work 
  • Equipment demonstrations and practice 
  • Manual Handling Risk Assessment 
  • Evaluation.

 

Assessment and training

Practical/hands-on classroom sessions and tutorials.
