Face Fit Seal Test

Overview

This testing procedure is aimed at anyone who wears or is required to wear respiratory protective equipment (RPE), and to ensure that an adequate protective seal can be formed when wearing this. The test can take around an hour for each person being tested. This course is designed to assist organisations and/or individuals to be compliant with HSE’s guidance on Respiratory Protective Equipment at Work (HSG53 – fourth edition).   

 

Learning outcomes

The course programme covers:

  • An overview of the Work at height Regulations 2005 and responsibilities in the work area 
  • What a work at height risk assessment is and how to conduct one  
  • Avoiding, preventing and minimizing risks in the work area, including training and emergency procedures 
  • PPE requirements when safely working at heights 
  • How to safely use work at height equipment.

 

Assessment and training

We offer Qualitative Face Fit Testing. 

 

Entry requirements

You must be clean shaven and be able to carry out light exercise.

You must also have a good understanding of spoken and written English. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area.
