Project Learning
Use these resources alongside our Project Qualifications, or as standalone support for building project learning into your KS3, KS4 and KS5 subject teaching and learning.
Future Ready Project Qualifications
Through project work, students enrich their learning experiences and develop transferable skills for progression to higher education and the workplace, through the exploration of a topic of their choice.
Project learning encourages Future Ready skills, including:
- active collaboration
- ongoing discussion
- negotiation
- problem-solving
- active research
- practical decision-making
- self-reflective review
Themed Project Qualifications
The Level 1 Foundation, Level 2 Higher or Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (worth up to 28 UCAS points) can also be used as an end-point assessment for a specific topic or extra-curricular programme.
This approach leads to an accredited qualification and encourages learners to explore content more deeply, as well as develop project-management and independent-learning skills.
Project Qualification Express
Our Project Qualification (PQ) Express is a fast-track project qualifcation - the specification and assessment criteria remain unchanged. Learners are expected to fulfil the same amount of guided-learning hours in a shorter timeframe (3-6 months).
During COVID-19 lockdown, it gave learners a focused remote-learning experience and a meaningful end to their studies in an unsettling time. For Year 11s and Year 13s, it was a great way to use the time they would normally set aside for exam revision.
