#DiversityInLit

Lit in Colour
By joining forces with Penguin Books UK and The Runnymede Trust, we hope to encourage schools to make the switch to a more diverse English Literature curriculum through the Lit in Colour Pioneers Programme.

Plotting Ahead
Our annual roundtable event hosts educators, charities, publishers and leading influencers and explores how we can shake up the narrative and influence future change within children's literature in the UK.

Primary Literacy
We want all primary school children to be able to develop a lifelong love of reading, and to feel that our books are for them, whatever their ability, background or identity.

GCSE English Literature
Our GCSE curriculum strives to ensure that students are exposed to literature from a variety of British authors, from different backgrounds, and are reading about contemporary issues that they can engage with and relate to.

GCSE English Language 2.0
Our new GCSE (9–1) English Language qualification has been designed to engage and motivate students through a choice of contemporary texts, relatable modern themes, and real-world writing tasks.

AS and A level English Literature
Here you'll find information about the texts on our Pearson Edexcel A level English Literature text list that align with our commitment to maximising diversity in curriculum. The four new texts are now available.
