VQ Bulletin - Issue 14
Welcome to the latest issue of the VQ Bulletin. We hope you had a restful and relaxing Easter break.
We know that as you return after the break, you will be starting to concentrate on the Q-TAG process for your learners, so we hope the information in this week’s Bulletin answers your immediate questions.
For qualifications where a Q-TAG is permitted, we know you will now be focusing in on the holistic Q-TAG judgements for your learners. To support you we are releasing worked examples and an evidence record template to record the evidence used to make your Q-TAG judgements. You can amend the template, but you must ensure all of the relevant requirements/sections are covered, should we need to sample your Q-TAG judgements, or in the case of any Appeals.
We’ve also included further information on qualifications that are not similar to GCSEs or A-Levels (‘B2’), and where therefore a Q-TAG is only available as a last resort.
As the TAG process for Functional Skills is now available, we have included a reminder of the process you will need to follow should you believe you have learners who are eligible for a TAG.
As always, you are welcome to contact us with any queries or concerns, keep informed by following @teachBTEC, or access our FAQ page, which is updated frequently. Our social media is monitored from 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday and we welcome, and will respond to, any suggestions or feedback you have for us. You can also review past bulletins if you’ve missed any or sign up to receive future updates if you have not already done so, via the link at the end of this bulletin.
Thanks as always for your ongoing support and collaboration.
