Since 2012, Mike has been the driving force behind Pearson's English language learning program – The Global Scale of English. After a successful English language teaching career, Mike joined Pearson in 2003 and headed up Longman Dictionaries before leading the team of Learning Research and Design scientists who developed the Global Scale of English. He has written academic papers on English language learning, travels the world to talk at events and shares his extensive knowledge and tips on our social media channels. Mike has a BA (Hons) in French Language and Literature and a Masters in English and Applied Linguistics from Cambridge University.
