Speakers’ names & bios:

Duncan Hamshere – International Recognition and Progression Manager

Duncan is the international progression and recognition manager for Pearson Edexcel and works with the higher education sector around the world to help students gain fair recognition for their achievements and with the transition to university with Pearson Edexcel Qualifications.

Previously he worked as a senior international trade advisor for the Department for International Trade with different bodies in the further and higher education sectors in Spain and the UK and as a senior credential evaluator for the UK NARIC.

Wade Tomlinson – Partnership Manager (Higher Education and Ministry)

Wade Tomlinson is the Partnership Manager for Higher Education Institutions and Ministries for Pearson’s Higher Education & International division. Wade works with educational organisations across the globe, such as universities, ministry bodies and credential evaluators, to support progression for learners with Pearson BTEC credentials. His primary goal is enhancing the visibility and availability of BTEC progression options towards further, higher educational study.

Wade started his career in education in 2012 at the University of Roehampton Students’ Union. Since then, he has worked in Public and Private Higher Education Institutions across multiple roles, including partnership management, outreach, international enrolment & admissions.
