IB MYP Maths unit planning

Presented by Paula Rowlands, Pearson author and Head of Maths at the International School of Basel, Switzerland, this online session will cover ideas and suggestions on how to create and develop unit plans specifically for MYP Maths.

Delegates will learn more about:

  • how to incorporate the concepts and global context
  • how to write a statement of inquiry
  •  and how to link them all together within the summative assessment.
About the presenter

Paula Rowlands is Head of Maths at the International School of Basel (an MYP and DP school) in Switzerland and co-author for Pearson’s new Mathematics for the IB Middle Years Programme series.

She has taught International GCSE, A Level, MYP and DP Mathematics since 2007 and is an experienced IB, A level, Further Maths, MYP & International GCSE Maths teacher, head of department and associate examiner. She's also a published scientist and mathematician and a passionate believer in the importance of conceptual understanding, curiosity and inquiry.
