Nous vous invitons à découvrir Rond-Point, deuxième édition! Based on the principles of task-based language teaching, students learn through collaboration and interaction. They develop their communicative skills from day one while working in the target language. Contexts are authentic and related to real-life; i.e. organizing a vacation, planning a party, and so on. Due in large part to its flexible organization, the program is being used successfully at a variety of colleges and universities around the world. This Second Edition is based on comments from instructors in Europe and in North America. The authors have retained the key elements that have made the first edition so successful: an abundance of authentic materials, fun and efficient smaller tasks leading students to the completion of a larger and more ambitious task at the end of each unit, recycling of the main grammar points throughout the book, a very dynamic approach where interactions and meaning negotiations among students is at the heart of each class.
Task Based Approach - Highly communicative text that includes tasks in the learning of French. Students are required to immediately do something with what they are learning by putting into use the new structures taught in each chapter . Meets the requirements of the CECR (Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues) where the objective of acquiring a language is demonstrated through completing various tasks in authentic situations. "Ancrage" - Short activities which encourage students to use the vocabulary of each lesson. "En Contexte" - Exposes the students to authentic documents (realia) where the language they're learning is used. The words in "red" give examples that help the students create oral response; the words in "blue" are models for written responses. "Formes et Ressources" - Students work with a partner or in groups for these activities, many of which ask the students to think about and analyze the structure that's being presented. Grammar boxes are provided with info that the students will need to complete the activities. "Tache ciblée" - Students are asked to work with others to resolve a problem, exchange information and opinions, negotiate solutions, elaborate on texts, etc. "Regards croisés" - Presents cultural values and daily life of people in the francophone world. Very often, students are asked to make cross-cultural comparisons and think about their own culture. At the end of the book is the "Mémento Grammatical" section where thorough grammar explanations are provided in English. There will also be a "Lexique par unité" appendix where the students will find all of the direction lines for the activities translated in English, as well as a vocabulary list for each chapter. - See more at: http://www.pearsonhighered.com/educator/product/RondPoint-dition-nordamricaine/9780132386517.page#sthash.KGB0xFgM.dpuf
