Effective, research-based teaching methods and practice

Effective Teaching Methods shows pre-service teachers how to apply research-based teaching practices in today's diverse classrooms. A realistic approach describes what years of research and observation says effective teachers actually do in real classrooms, including what to avoid. Extensive examples and case studies provide real-world context.

The 10th Edition stays current with the new research available in nearly every aspect of teaching, including curriculum standards, differentiated instruction, educational technologies, diverse learners, language proficiency, and new legislation.
